ableton arpeggiator problem
i have been having difficulty with the ableton arp recently. it seems that whenever i put it on an instrument that is playing a midi clip, it doesnt start the arp sequence at the beginning of the clip, but instead it has a little lag. i dont know if i have some strange setting selected on the arpeggiator or what but its really starting to annoy me. anyone got any suggestions?
thanks
thanks
Re: ableton arpeggiator problem
mine was doing this to me in logic. except i was rewiring reason into it. i figured it was rewire that was causing the delay in the arp, but idk...

Re: ableton arpeggiator problem
fuck its so annoying. i now just manually program all my arps but its annoying when im trying to get something out fast and i have to spend time doing monotonous tasks like this..... i guess ill just have to make my arps in other creative ways.
Re: ableton arpeggiator problem
what do you mean like manually draw in all the little notes?
im thinking i might do that as well because i can't get my arp to span across 2 bars the way i want it to.

Re: ableton arpeggiator problem
like using the massive performer for my arps or just drawing it in by hand i guess. i have been playing around with getting arp sounds in plugins like fabfilter volcano which might be cool to further explore

Re: ableton arpeggiator problem
I have no idea about Ableton, but in Cubase there's a way to record the MIDI data onto a new track, so if the arp is off, you can record it to a new track and then manually correct / quantize the notes. I'm thinking there must be a way to do this in Ableton somehow as well...

Re: ableton arpeggiator problem
Just set up a new midi track and have the output of the track containing the arp going into the new midi track, It then records the midi output that the arp creates.

Re: ableton arpeggiator problem
One thing I noticed I while back was that if the arp is in sync mode it gave me more problems than free mode also keep the track rec armed. Seemed to help
