Things I’d like to see:

1) An undo\back up button. Kind of like how Zebra2 does it.

2) A way to be able to EQ each oscillator individually.

3) Percentage values attached to the knobs so you can see the number as you move it.

4) The ability to creating custom waveforms.

5) A bunch of cool new waveforms.
Performance: Vestax VCI-300mk2
DAW: Ableton 8
Synths: Massive, Zebra 2, Sylenth1
FX: Ohm Force, FabFilter, Izotope, Camel Audio

Today wrote:its packaged as a guitar amp emulator/multi FX plugin and it can be subtle, it can be crunchy, it can do great parallel processing on drums and bass guitars.. comes with a bunch of distortion boxes, cabinets and heads, also a mixer component called "control room" that lets you set levels on different microphone emulations for the cab (i.e. an SM57 close, U87 room mic, a bunch of mics with different placements on the cabinet etc)
. You can split the signal and run it through two different amp setups, with different fx, and/or apply FX to the master output (or input)

so, you can achieve really pretty great guitar and bass amp sounds, but it doesn't rly stop there. Its a great multi FX powerhouse for really mangling stuff, gluing vocals, special FX.. has a lot of great presets where the input level is assigned to modulate the dry/wet of their "reflektor" component (pretty nice verb/delay tool), so the louder a signal gets, it reduces the wet level , not entirely unlike sidechaining. You can also assign envelopes and LFOs to any knob you can see, pretty much

It comes with loads of EQ's, dynamics and time based FX. vintage emulations and modern, parametric and graphic, etc.

so tl;dr Guitar Rig is pretty sick.

Is is worth the fairly steep price?

thats entirely up to what you value, how much money you make, and how the plugin treats your sounds to your ears.
I'd say yes, totally worth it. A couple hundred bucks for a beast of a plugin that's incredible for mixing, amp emulations, vocals and special FX

For me it was more worthwhile to buy Komplete.

Komplete is the way to go man. My friend got it for Christmas, you could probably do the same.

My friend got Komplete Ultimate, it seems stellar. His only quip is that it's actually TOO much so he can't get around to using/learning it all haha

Nah, it's not too much. It just takes a few months to learn every single thing. And at first, you're just going to use the plugs you bought it for, then you'll branch out.

I just realized - I'd love for massive 2 to have z-plane filters.
160 bpm roller - for all the skankas.

I'd love for any VST to have z-plane filters. I'd probably poop myself if massive 2 had them

Yeah, Z-Planeish thing would be cool. They won't be able to do Z-Plane specifically because its an EMU thing, but it would just be nice to have some sort filter that could morph into/through different filter types. There isn't much out there that does that. FM8 can, but at times there are some weird artifacts when I try automating it. I guess NI can't do all of this awesome stuff in one synth like Massive. Fuck it, they should just drop Komplete and build an Absynth/Massive/Kontakt/FM8 hybrid that does it all. The FX section could basically be Guitar Rig and parts of Reaktor. They could charge what they do for Komplete and save us all the pain of going through multiple installers and updates for each program. Ah... pipe dreams. :H:

you can use envelopes or LFOs in massive to glide between the filters

That's part of the charm of it ;)
