but what you've said is increadibly dismissive....
in what way is saying that mt eden is shit music dismissive?
i think you've missed the boat on this one
real & shit are two different things
yes, their music is terrible... but one cannot define whether their music is real or not...
end of the day, music is music
As much as I despise Mt Eden, gotta agree there. If we say Mt Eden isn't 'real music', what's to stop elitist tossers from saying all dubstep isn't music?
yeah, I guess saying something isn't real music is a bit too far. But you can make distinctions like real dubstep vs shit, real rap vs gucci mane, v nasty and the like etc.

There's about half a dozen rolling threads that make it all worthwhile for me. Though I guess I look at them through 'View your posts' Once in a blue moon there's a decent new thread in general.

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.
i liked the guy who covered the silkie tunes on drums...
can we trade you to get him back?

i was just fucking around, basically saying mt eden is literally the lowest thing on the bro-tem pole.
of course its real music in the literal sense. But as far as my point in saying that, just look at what they did to archangel. That is unforgivable bullshit right there. And the production value of their shitty compositions is lower than any producer who's ever garnered any public attention whatsoever. every track sounds like a fucking 15 year old kid started up reason for the first time and made a LPF wobble.
When you hear a bird, you might just say, "oh that bird is singing" but in fact, birds have both songs as well as calls
calls are completely different and every bird can call within a month of being born, songs take up to a year to learn and are specific not only by species and breed, but every individual bird has a unique song
so in bird speak i think mt eden is a call, sure it's still music but its like sub music
that's a grade A wildlife scientist analogy btw copyright pending
