I don't think there is anything special about sounding exactly like skrillex and the ilk, sounds like a pretty common bass sound to me, upper level sound design or not.

/rant

In reference to danny's growl, not the knife party sound. Which is pretty Br00talz.

I could make you scratch your head for hours, and I could do that, but if what I'm making sounds like everything else, and yours do, then what I'm making is common, you arrogant cookie cutter bastard.

Personally, I don`t think it`s a common bass sound.
I`m not a fan of the style but I can give many of the sounds the respect they are due.
Imo Dan did a good job on that sound.

I don't like it either but I've got an interest in sound design that surpasses my dislike for generic music, and even with that, that patch sounds like someone could have paid for it, and besides that I didn't say it wasn't decent sound design, I said it sounded like every other guy.

Nobody will argue the skill it takes to get those sounds, that has nothing to do with the fact that a lot of people have them.

I will say this, to maybe pacify or right the situation. That is my opinion, and because it is negative in the way that it is, and nobody did anything to warrant such negativity, I am sorry for sharing it, that was out of place and rude of me.

Dan you're a nice enough guy, in spite of all the hate you get, or used to get, and you don't really do anything to warrant more, I am genuinely just an asshole.

but, that being said Kes-Es, you`re fully entitled to your opinion.
And I will be honest I totally agree in principle.

Haha nah man, it's all good I get where you're coming from... it's up there with the cliche brostep sounds but it's just one that the noobs haven't figured out how to make yet. :L

Haha, Someone is a diplomat.

Dunno, I'd like to see anyone recreate some of the sounds I've thought up, and I could name several other producers I would pay a lot of money to see someone rip off, that isn't to say I'm an amazing producer, because I'm not, I'm pretty halfway, but I've created some pretty mean sounds that don't sound like anything I've ever heard, and I think there's a lot more to be said for that than creating a patch that sounds only slightly different from another producer. I'm not attacking your ability Dannyboy, just your creativity, which I feel would be amazingly applied in other ways, which I hope will happen when you find a sound that is irrefutably your own. I will say that I don't think that's happened, and it'd be presumptuous for me to assume that, that was your goal to begin with, brostep is not really about originality anyways.

This all sounds pretty pompous though so I'm going to stop about now.
