Do what everyone says. But also, you can system restore to a couple days ago. If you don't have a restore point set just start new

Re: FUCK, IS THERE A WAY TO UNDO THE RECYCLE BIN/FIND THE FI
As a general rule, every couple months, I burn off the stems of tunes Ive finished as data to a DVD, and store those, actually in the same place I keep my money, guns, social security card, ect... Priorities for the end of the world like. I lost a few dozen wavs a while back and had to turn down releases/give away some of my best work for free. It sucks. Always back your shit up.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... -questionsWhat files are changed during a system restore?
System Restore affects Windows system files, programs, and registry settings. It can also make changes to scripts, batch files, and other types of executable files on your computer.
System Restore does not affect personal files, such as e-mail, documents, or photos, so it cannot help you restore a deleted file. If you have backups of your files, you can restore the files from a backup.
This is a Vista page, but System Restore performs the same on Windows 7.

Hindsight and all that but yes, get an external drive, They're cheap as chips these days and absolutely vital.
If you're on Windows 7 then also think about enabling 'Previous Versions': http://www.howtogeek.com/56891/use-wind ... our-files/
I've also subscribed to the 30GB a month Sugarsync service: https://www.sugarsync.com/plans/

GetData Recover My Files.
It can restore most DAW project files, as well as other stuff, but you need to restore it to a different drive, so if your HDD is partitioned, or you have an external HDD you're landed.

Yeah Recover My Files is worth every penny. It will recover it all.
The way deletion works is, the files are never actually removed from your hard drive, just detected by your OS as 'not here'. They get put into a queue, and will be permanently removed once those blocks are overwritten. So, don't download or move any large files (or any) until you recover them.
Also, for backup: www.ice-graphics.com/ICEMirror/IndexE.html
Free, fast and great. I swear by this software to the death.
