Importing Sound

I swear I thought I saw a post at one point about different DAWs being good at different things. I've looked everywhere, and I can't find it. Is there a DAW that is really good at importing sound, or are they all the same at it? I only ask because I'm gonna help friends make non-dubstep music (one raps and the other plays the guitar). Please help

by importing do you mean audio thats already been recorded? or are you looking to record into the daw? all daws do both of these. its just a matter of taste and workflow style.
