Increase the tempo gradually, then drop the drumstep track?

im gonna assume you know this but mention it anyway just in case, but they are drastically different tempos so it will be neigh on impossible to properly beatmatch and rinse out a mix between them. Yoou will need to do some sort of fancy trickery/faking itness, so that leaves breakdown to breakdown mixing, use an atmospherically no beat downtempo tune inbetween them, some sort of delay on one stop it and start the next, there are a few good dnb tunes with dubstep breakdowns you could use as well, as mentioned some sort of pitch fading move to get it all to feel somewhat in time, blantant huge rewind then start the next tune from the top. Its gonna have to most likely be something more alogn the lines of turntablism than actual mixing, can be fun to work out a cool one though.

Listen to other dubstep and dnb mixes to how they do it.
Mixing in half time and/or double time works well for it too.

Use a track that switches between dubstep and drumstep or dnb.
...in my opinion

either A: abrupt change. as in, not crossfading, but switching immediately at a particular part of each track.

for example, drop 1 ends, immediately start the intro of the next track and change the tempo.

or B: crossfade between each track while there are NO DRUMS playing on one of the tracks, and change the tempo while you're crossfading.

drop a 140 bmp standard dubstep song, then drop slang like this which is 145, which you can speed out to 147, drop the drumstep tune a bit down and then bang! transition
A brand new song!

Also, you can make your own transition between the tempos. :)

I'm very much still a novice at DJing but currently I find using a remix and an original track to go from one BPM to another as it's really easy. For example to go from House/Electro at ~127bpm to drumstep I like to play Datsik & Diplo - Pick Your Poison and then on the 2nd drop I cut into the Figure remix of the same track as it uses the same sample before the drop. I'm sure pitching up/down the tracks you are using would be a better option but my way sounds decent and takes no skill :W:
