What do you lot think about Fluoride

Post by deesee » Mon Apr 02, 2012 9:29 am

Usually I do try to avoid banging on about conspiracy theory stuff but some things you can't ignore. So without chatting about all the social conditioning, izan experiments etc the main point is I've been reading about and watching few bits and bobs and it comes to my attention we should definatly be avoiding flouride. So any of you in the same boat trying to give it a miss, you use any particular flouride free products or anything?

I was a big fan of 'Low' and the stuff off his first album, but felt 'Only One Flo' lacked some of the originality and rawness of his earlier work.

The clue is in the name. There really is no need to willfully accept any extra non-naturally occurring fluoride being added to your diet.

Aloedent from holland & barret is what i use -weird at first but you get used to it and it cleans your teeth better.there are loads though. wonder why that is :W:

When you get older you`ll start to appreciate everyday just being alive.
Then you`ll be sorry you did half of the things in your youth.

Haha if your toothpaste says don't swallow you're buying the wrong damn toothpaste  That's ridiculous.

I've worked at a health store/green supermarket for years and I'm not sure if fluoride is the stuff I fear most :)

Actually, avoiding fluoride isn't tin hat stuff and whole countries such as France avoided adding it to water because it was deemed unnecessary. It's only meant for topical applications so putting it in drinking water is the biggest no-no since it's definitely toxic and can cause a disease known as 'fluorosis' - which does the opposite of what you want it to! There are numerous other potentially neurotoxic and antibiotic effects from its ingestion yet there there has been no large-scale research conducted by government bodies even though there are no precedents to follow so this is genuinely a massive experiment.

Companies can also legally use hexafluoride, an industrial waste, in drinking water; I notice that a lot of toothpastes have recently switched to sodium fluoride, or marking it as such. Also, the amount of fluoride in that pea-sized toothpaste blob is equivalent to a glass of water yet there's no warning for ingesting it that way. You can actually brush your teeth perfectly safely and very effectively with pure sodium bicarbonate ('baking powder') as long as it doesn't have aluminum salts and if you read a lot of labels on toothpaste that's a major ingredient anyway so why pay more for packaging?

I also read that tea contains fluoride which could be bad for you but since it's a natural source it's probably not bad for like hexafluoride.
