We pre-recorded the special last night....
It'll be aired tonight 2am til 4am (or Saturday morning if you like).
I will be on air between 2:30 and 3:00
Trust me when I say I went out with a BANG.
I suggest you all lock in

Shame that this won't be around any more. It was definitely one of the best shows out there.
I used to get a kick out of the random Street Fighter noises

Nothing like a good ol' "HADOUKEN!" before that big drop.

is there anywhere we can currently download all of the existing plastician radio1 shows?
if not, i'd be more than happy to host them permanently if anyone has all the recordings? plenty of bandwidth going here.
Rich.

to be fair i think there is a scene of sorts now.. 'new rave' started as a hollow shell, all nme hype and no content, but the music has slowly arrived to fill that shell. i'm not saying the music is worthy of... anything, necessarily; but it does exist, even if it is a pretty random hodgepodge of electro, house, bits of hiphop, old skool rave... check how many flyers are up round shoreditch with that fluokids/ed banger inspired vibe these days.

Hmmm, put like that it doesn't sound so bad... particularly if they've started coopting bits of grime and dubstep too.
I always got the impression that nu-rave was more a style of DJ'ing - ie mixing up house, electro, drum machine-indie, oldskool etc - than an actual genre of record and that bands like the Klaxons kind of came out after that. But I can't remember who any of the DJ's were supposed to be...
