This is the sickest news.

Icicle headlining Plan B end of march

Icicle Rinse CD end of april...

“beginning with the slower, techno-infused moves of his own ‘Deep Tech’ and Locked Groove’s ‘Centraal’, Rinse:19 gradually mutates through ocean-deep halfstep into thrashy, ultra-percussive dubstep, before finally exploding into intricate, melodic drum ‘n’ bass." .... mmmm sounds gooood

whereas other people that are djs on rinse could do with A the exposure and B showcasing some other sounds that rinse have

also rinse ages back pulled away from dnb but it looks as though theres dnb on this...interesting

i will probably buy it as ive bought the vast majority so far but I would think it would make sense for the rinse dj that just won best new label on dsf to get a cd...the vibes side of dubstep is making a fightback right now against the dungeon and it would make more sense to me for rinse to reflect that a bit...i enjoy all sorts don't get me wrong but do we need another dungeon mix right now 'more' than a cd of more ethereal atmospheric, dubbified yet deep dubstep?

not trying to be controversial just im sure many people feel the same way...you can have too much of one thing...an antisocial cd would be fucking sick as well and again more vital right now in my eyes but then what do i know
Icicle DJs on Rinse quite a lot: he's often on the monthly Shogun Audio show as well as often guesting on Youngsta's show, and he's had a couple of solo shows as well.
11-1 slot on Wednesday evenings is dedicated to drum & bass (dBridge, Shogun Audio, Flight and Digital Soundboy). Uncle Dugs does 3 hours of jungle kind of stuff every week too.

I definitely get what you're saying, but dubstep is definitely a mainstay of Rinse, and this mix seems to be 2/3rds DnB and 1/3rd-ish dubstep, which'll mean it's different enough from other Rinse mixes like Youngsta's one. Have there been any other DnB Rinse releases?

Definitely seconding an Antisocial one. It's about time for a vibesy dubstep Rinse mix to balance stuff out, and I'm a big fan of the weekly Antisocial show. The Swamp Rinse mix will also do a good job of varying the sound.

Nope. Actually it might be the one genre that's never ever been represented, even in those mixes that melt many different sounds (Geeneus, for instance...)!

This. I must say I cannot complain about the stylistic breadth of the rinse mixes lately... Mark Radford's mix should be an interesting new direction for the series, too

Only the last 5 tracks are dnb, first 4 are technoish 130 bpm stuff and the rest (half of the mix) is dubstep.

Even better then. Speaking of which, is techno represented much on Rinse? The Clairvoyants have their show of dark nasty techno, which is sick, but does anyone else play proper techno?

Can't wait for this, one of the only dj's that can just slide through genre's and bpm's so crazy smooth.

The mix features tunes from Gorgon Sound, Dark Tantrums, Headhunter, Proxima, Commodo, Silkie, and many more. I hope you enjoy the vibes. :)

ahhh i might just have to buy this just to be able to listen to that Youngsta dub on repeat. The tracklisting for this is genuine fire but im not a massive fan of mix cd's they just make me want certain tunes so bad...

How Loefah's crack bong remix made it out onto a Tempa allstars was theeeeee biggest tease of all time!

This looks big, Icicle is the one who got me interested in Shogun. I'm still not overly impressed by the Shogun stuff but thats mainly because in the past year i've found myself falling out of love with dnb very fast.. but Icicle is by far the stand out man atm. Would love a Swamp one next.. Loefah ideally.. he'll have an insane amount of dubs to showcase!
