^

The Alien's track is basically made up of resonance, and a daft filter (if you're presumably using Massive?) should do the trick!

I'd love to create that nasty Requake sound, digging that shit atm!

Hey man, it's the talking wobble at 1:41. Should have been more recise. You think you could lead me in the right direction?

Wobble sound at 0:27?
Soundcloud
Wobble at 0:13?
Both of these guys use Reason, and Supreme told me he uses Malstrom, so how on Earth do I get something similar to those?

Damn, can't seem to find the preset I was talking about, but I think it may have been for the wrong sound anyway... :/

EDIT:
Can anyone help me with the lead that pops in at about 2:33? I'm sooo in love with it

Make a patch in massive, idk what wavetable, mayve Modern talking set to Bend +/- or whatever (lots of different stuff you use here), have a lowpass filter with a downwards ramp wobble to get that machine gun effect and distort to hell after the filter
EDIT: Just a quick example, it's not that close to the sound, but it shows what I'm talking about. I may have overdone the distortion though :P

Can anyone suggest how to recreate the main drop synths from Knife Party - Internet Friends? By that I mean the very first two synths heard in the drop - the first note bend down and then the high synth that starts pitching up carrying the melody (specifically this one)? I'm horrible at synthesis so even relatively "basic" sounds like that escape me, any ideas?

Well, the only thing I can tell you is that the scream filter is defo on that second one, giving it most of it's characteristics. Other than that, I'm not sure ;)

Hey everyone,

Can anyone tell me how to make the sound in this that hits right at the start and on 0:09
It sounds kind of like a horn with a dark space feel to it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3HQM_RPaVA

I realise it is probably very simple but i suck at sound design / synthesis.

Thanks.

For grimenoceros:
Fucking tons of overdrive, saw osc's and a digital one of your choice, at least 6 unison, pan position halfway between full and mono, and have a reeaaaly fast down ramp lfo fully modulating the wavetable modulation, I find it helps really beef up my supersaws etc. Finally, split the frequencies into 3-4 different parts, including a sub. Then change the massive presets of the different parts to suit their frequency, EQ them all quite heavily, you want to be ducking lots of little bits in the highs to make it sound really clean in the mix. Then resample, etc. For the whoop sound, its literally about chorus and pitch envelopes, I'll upload a preset later, I got some good ones because I've been trying to recreate it for a while :)

Presets as promised: http://www.mediafire.com/?53nzqa4borl3dm0
Threw in the destroy them with lazerz sound as well :)
EDIT: The alvin risk one needs tweaking to get what you want, both presets need layering to get the kind of thickness it is in the knife party track :)

Stupid question, but you wouldn't happen to havs .ksds for those would you? -___- I'm ashamed to ask, but it is what it is...We shan't discuss the implications. Otherwise I'll just experiment with the advice you gave, it all sounds like solid ideas so I'll see what I can come up with, much thanks for the answer! :D
