This recent obsession with high-pitched screeching/squealing noises (see: Doctor P - Big Boss, Skrillex - Born This Way and just about anything currently on the front page of UKF) has gotta be the worst trend to ever hit dubstep/brostep. How do people find that in any way pleasing to listen to?

Dark dubstep, fair amount of unsigned/amateur tracks from the forums too.

That snare in the intro (didn't really get past that) has gotta be the worst sound I've ever heard.

Didn't notice that at first, but you're right, it sounds like they deliberately made it as annoying as possible. Why does everything have to have a squeaky noise in it???
