Got to say, one of the best games I've ever played, definately in my top ten.

*nostalgia*
such a good game

my memories hazy but i swear there was a level where you were on some kind of space base with multiple floor levels and you could fall off the middle or the edges? favourite level :) proper want to go find the disk for it now!
Who said anything about owning the game?

But yeah that was one of my favourite maps too, I loved that cow creature that had guns on his back.

Fucking epic.

Everything about UT was pure class, the soundtrack was good and i loved the auto taunts. Chopping peoples heads off with a chainsaw was fun too.

I liked Quake better but to be honest I never got really into UT. Used
to play 1on1 quake 4 too, you're movement and map knowledge had to be top notch. Aiming came second, unlike
counter-strike where -on that level- everyone knew every inch of the map and the moves etc..

QL has cpm movement now, it was in the update from last December. It's called PQL (promode quake live).

But you need a premium/pro account to play it, so it's basically dead and the only time it's ever played is in CA.

ID are fucking idiots. :u:

Man I miss phrantic so badly. Such an amazing map!

People who don't understand find maps like phrantic boring, but it's what quake is all about, it's 100% tactical and brain at all times.

Also, 1.3 > 1.4.2.

Had to look it up but yea I played that map a lot, really fast but that suites the game very well.

Quake 3/Live, Warsow, Painkiller. :Q: :Q:

Many good times playing this shit. I was always better at team FPS competitively though.

HArd in what sense? The community consists of pretty much old quake players so the skill level is really up there but the general movements and learning how all the guns work won't take you that long to get proficient at.

Only thing that sucks about warsow is the silly ammo system. Really doesn't work.

If it wasn't for that it would have so many more quake players switching to warsow.

i think it means based by reaction time, meaning the lower your reaction time the better you will be at the game.
