logic help
is it possible to use or merge different parts of different logic files in one track?? if that makes sense? thanks
Re: logic help
Sort of, although there might be a more efficient way. You can have more than one project open in Logic, and copy the MIDI parts from one, and past them in the other. And then you can copy the channel strip (instrument, routing, plug-ins), and then past those settings on another strip.masterchief wrote:is it possible to use or merge different parts of different logic files in one track?? if that makes sense? thanks

Re: logic help
You could also bounce each track to audio to save finding all the plug-ins and so on when you put it into your other projectransom wrote:Sort of, although there might be a more efficient way. Re: logic help
the best way of doing this is as follows -
Goto the browser on the right. then look up your project files, find the song that you want to import stuff from, then at the bottom right there’s an button that says 'import'. Click this. you will then be given a list of all the channels and plugins used in that project. select whatever you want and hit import.
This will add these channels to the current song you are on including arrangement, midi, audio, automation, channel strips, busses with effects etc.. all that good stuff and adds to the current session

Re: logic help
You probably figured this out by now (I noticed this post is from a month ago). I'm on Logic 9 and it's under the file menu. You select the logic file you want to import from and then a dialog box should pop up showing everything available in that file. You can pick and choose what to import.masterchief wrote:where is this import button i cant see it mine just says open in the bottom right? im on logic 8 btw
