Alright guys, so I am no where near as knowledgeable as you people here as I read this thread, I never knew about the forman vowel EQs in Ableton till I read this but when I tried using it on my synths/basses it makes them sound muffled, but when I tried raising certain frequencies which I thought was the problem it sort of diminished the vowel, anyone have that problem too/know how to fix that?

I`m not familiar with operator but what you`re saying is have one osc you draw the formants/harmonics in and modulate a sine wave with it? ratio 1:1?

thats sick man, im just getting into abletonn and i didnt knoe operator was capable of such sound so easily, could u explaie ho the mod matrix works in operator (or where its even at lol) you said keep the routing straight through, is that meaniing a into b, b into c ? idk if you use fm8 but on there the mod matrix is very straight forward, sytrus is too, i just dont uderstand tat part on operator.

which IMO is the easiest FM synth to learn, and sounds freakin awesome. the more i use it, the more i love it.

the only thing that is different with this from other FM synths, is that you get to choose various premade options of how the operators effect each other. other than that, is just like any other FM synth.

every1s f*ckin obsessed with this sound, not every1 but jeez. this NOT a hard to make sound, there many ways to do this sound whether your using massive, fm8, granular synthesis.. whatever.
just make a strong harmonic waveform that has a bit of movement and automate a few different filters or just use the EQ points. im guess skrillex never went in full detail because what he said already pretty much tells you how to do it. i made the xKore bass in like 4 minutes in my own synth without any fx just to prove these kind of sounds arent as hard as some might think.

I posted this in the how to sound like skrillex thread, but I'll just post it here aswell.. Made with the 3xOsc and a long ass effects chain. EQ being automated at the end of the chain, and that's it.

hey guys i have a question about one of skrillex's synth noises. it's not really a bassline, it's just a pitch bending synth that kinda sounds like YEEWWW.

it first plays at 1:22, and again at 1:26




wondering what kind of wave form that is. thanks
