"Over the past year or so, Blatwax has accelerated as one of Australias most prominent experimental glitch, electro-house and dubstep producers, and naturally the “Codex EP” will push this further. All four tunes can be comfortably described as absolute bangers, with seamless melodys and intricate basslines dominating throughout. There is no questioning the variation of the EP either, the first two tunes, Give a Shit and Peudo Fang both changing tempo and style mid track, switching between raw dubstep and electro styles. The third track Femur Camp also does this, dabbling this time into breaks in a true dancefloor onslaught. Finally, the title track tops it all off with a an eerie drumstep twist that underlines the diversity of this bass-face provoking, relentless release!
