I've been messing around with a Control S4 and Traktor for a few months now and have got the basic mixing / and transitions down and can with the software on the fly. I mainly mix dubstep / drumstep and electro (complextro tracks).
One thing I really haven't had much practice with though is FX chains and looping. From what I have heard when going to clubs using loops isn't really common in dubstep anyway. Basically I am looking to spice up my sets and instead of just dropping into a new song I want to start using FX more on the builds and make my own risers.
Just wondering if there is anyone out there who would be interested in doing some tuition on this and show me some tricks and where to use them. I know I can just go watch YouTube videos but I much prefer the one on one and having someone to talk with, just find a learn quicker that way and retain the info! I am a big SYNC button user and need to move away from this so going to practice some beat matching. Would also love some ideas on transitioning between BPMs (i.e. from 140 - 170 - 110).
Shoot me an email if interested. Happy to pay for your time so let me know how much you are after. I live in Western Australia GMT+8 but would be free to do this anytime on the weekend if you happen to be in a different timezone otherwise I am usually home by about 8pm my time most evenings during the week. Plan is to setup a webcam as well and screen cast so you can watch me and correct me when needed.
