Meanmrcustard -

Again, you've taken everything out of context. Your trying to make it seem as if I'm saying we shouldn't have immigration, which I definately did not say. You've also completely made up that I said it's somehow ok for British people to sponge, I never said that either, so stop chatting bollocks please, that's not on.

I've had arguments with people like you before, and you definately aren't worth the time, because you will simply fabricate what I've said and try and make me look like the bad guy, when I'm not.

You're basically trying to make me appear as a bigot, and you have no idea who I am, what race I am, my cultural background, where my political allegiances lie etc etc the list goes on.

Why shouldn't people be allowed to re-enter their own country by the way? You've lost me there, I think your just trying to pick a fight where there isn't one. 'Let's make this guy look like he's racist - then we will appear morally superior when in actuality we don't know what the fuck we're on about! I've seen this a million times before.

What exactly are the cultural benefits of imigration? I'm not challenging, I'm genuinely curious as to what answer you will give here. Don't start getting pissy just yet, because I'm not saying there aren't any benefits, as there certainly is.

Housing shortage has nothing really to do with foreigners anyway. It's local people who keep refusing to allow new houses to be built in places that need them! There's a frigging 5-year campaign to stop new housing projects every bloody time one crops up.

Also, as a former foreigner, I've paid more taxes and brought more money into the country than most people who are on benefits. I'll sponge back some of my hard-earned cash if I need to, thank you very much.

Then what are you saying? Your whole 'tiny island, sponging foreigners' bit made me think you were anti immigration. But if you're not, do enlighten me.

By the way, our 'toff' PM that you hate so, is totally with you on this one, Tories want to reduce net immigration to about 10,000, so you shouldn't be too harsh on ol' Dave, he's on your side. It hasn't happened, granted, but that's probably because they've realised, that in practise it's at best unworkable and pointless, at worst seriously damaging to an economy that is already fucked. Trust though, he wants the foreigners out as much as you do.

The fact you've brought up immigration in a thread about the London Mayoral Elections, which have absolutely nothing to do with immigration, says it all really, but now you have, you have absolutely NOTHING to back up your argument, and it's really not like this is a completely one sided argument, it's just you can't see any further than your Daily Mail rhetoric.

Ah ok, so if someone lives near a lovely bit of countryside for instance with beautiful views, they should let the council build a fuck-off council estate on top of it for the good of a growing population, (this is going to happen near where I live) yeah ok, god forbid if someone actually says 'No thanks, I quite like it here as it is'.

Were a tiny country, I don't understand how you just don't GET this.

Sure. As I'l reiterate, I'm not anti-foreigners, or racist, or a BNP member, stop being so touchy, christ almighty :? .
meanmrcustard wrote:

Unsustainable immigration into this country doesn't work, and alot of the social problems we have and have had in the past are due to too many different cultures living side by side in such a constricted enviroment. Do you really think it's a good thing for everyone? How many communities in this country actually integrate with eachother? Not that many, again speaking from personal experience here, (I am the only white guy I know in my Uni who actually hangs with Asian people on a regular basis.)

We are too liberal, and think we have to look after people we have no responsibility for. Why should a country the size of the UK be responsible for so many thousands of people seeking asylum in this day and age? Honestly? You can argue that it shouldn't even be a question because it should be a natural part of human nature, but unfortunately, we have our own problems in this country, why should we foot the bill for other countries who should sort themselves out, but can't because they are still in the grips of so called 'holy wars' or similar conflicts? I find that with alot of arguments coming from people such as yourself, you not only have very little personal experience of any of these issues, but also that YOU have no real argument most of the time and just want to appear intellectually/morally superior.
