Liking Becoming a bit more...needs a bit of work in the midrange department, but that could be just me, not a fan of long attacks on basslines. creative use of breaks in both of them tho!

Cheers for checking, re mid range - I'm not completey satisfied with the results I'm getting at the moment with middle frequencies, I guess thats just practise/+more practise...

These two tunes definitely benefit from me finding a secret stash of kicks and snares hidden on my hard drive - about a 1000 of each! I can't even remember where I dled them from!

becoming needs some SUB BASS! or at least more of it

good use of breaks, and its all sounding very crisp - nice production, except the lack of bass.

piss, you're right .. looking at the spec it drops right off after 70 hz.. bloody room lying to me again. I'll get that sorted.

Cheers for the feedback

:D glad i could be of assistance

i don't know if this applies to you, but i have a tip that has really improved my production since i started using. Firstly, put speakers at least a couple of metres away from the wall, to avoid the extra bass that is created. also, turn off any equilisation on your amp, or any modes such as "Loudness". i used to produce with all this stuff on. it sounded good when i was making it, but then i took it to a studio with proper monitors and a sub, and it sucked.

ha ha, well I recently bought some new monitors so I already know the major difference that non-reference stuff can make but my production room is only 3m by less than 2! The range around 70-100 really stands out so harshly in there and I really need to a shit load of A-Bing with pro tracks and look at analysers. My speakers go down to -3db at 40hz, so you'd think I would pick up the sub ok, but I guess it just gets swamped by the slightly higher stuff and i get fooled. Probably a case of knowing your speakers and your room (which i don't fully yet!).

You got any tunes up here?

cant comment on the sound qualities too much cos tinternet is a different room (speakers wise), but both of 'em are good man. Nice use of beats. Good feel to 'em.
