LAWL. it sounds fine. but clearly 'loudness sells' is stupid because plenty of music is not brick wall'd. if you take a look over to the MAIN PAGE on the beatport charts, you will see that none of the tracks suffer from the same problem.
Right, and albums haven't been getting louder over the past twenty years.
Hell, even the past decade.

The sub sounds fine to me. No reason to reduce the limiting. I think you're just mad because the track sounds huge and everyone loves it, and you can't do it like that.

I'm not accusing you of making the thread. I'm accusing you of agreeing with the OP.
I cant well be jealous of a dubstep #1 on beatport, Im not a dubstep DJ or producer, its not my genre, its not my taste, I play and produce mostly techno/electro/house, Im here because there are alot of good people on here. Why does taste always equal jealousy with you people? Cant you understand some of us arent in this to compete with anyone? That some of us just like artistic expression through sound? Jeez... And also, this isnt a question of Excisions production you fuckin dumbass, we're explaining how a poor ME can complete ruin a tune by someone as talented as Excision. Not saying excisions tune was bad. Or that we are jealous. Just that dude should re-evaluate who he hires.
Tune literally sounds like exactly what people want, is loud as fuck, and is #1 on beatport, so I think he made the right decision. I'm not saying you're jealous that you wish you could be #1 dubstep on beatport, but that you're jealous of his success. You wish you could have that success with your loudness-war-holier-than-thou mindset.
Finally, as someone whos had my own mastering treatments pressed to wax, dont talk shit on my knowledge, I can definately find a few times Ive helped you personally on here if I did some searching, and Ive been producing EDM for 8 years, dont suppose I might have heard brickwalled audio before? And after searching your posts, you just generally seem mad today, so Ill forgive you for not bothering to read anytihng I said, and completely missing the point of Deadlies post.
But one more time - your a dumbass. This isnt about Excision, so its not jealousy of him. Its about his mastering engineers.
I never said it's about Excision, I know that you are talking about his ME, and it's
you're not
your. Don't even pretend like you're above me. And I'm not mad, nor am I showing signs of anger. I'm not dishing out insults; you are.

IMO he should have spent less time mastering it and more time actually composing the damn track, its so weak. I don't think Excision is much of a musician, just a hell of a technician
I found a way to get piece of mind for years and left the hell alone, turn a deaf ear to the cellular phone

the majority of people don't self master their tunes especially when putting out releases just fyi
and LOL at loudness sells, that defeats the whole purpose of a proper mastering job

sorry my ears don't like smashed to hell mixes and brickwall limiting, neither do the vast majority of others
a master isn't just a limiter on the main channel squashed to hell
google "metallica death magnetic loudness war" and you might understand

I think the reality is actually the opposite

LOL dude, I know exactly where you are coming from. I've already seen the vids. I've already read up on the loudness war, and all the haters out there who think that music is "dying" because of it. At the end of the day, you're just another hater. I've said it before and I'll say it again:
Worry less about what other people do, and focus on your own game.

and more people bought death magnetic by metallica and that was atrociously mastered as well
sales doesn't automatically excuse a shitty mastering job, that and your common listener is playing their music on ipod headphones which we all know are the greatest for picking up on the nuances of a track
Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's bad mastering.

so stick to your strawman argument about haters and let the grown ups talk about production related stuff on the production board

you have yet to present a valid argument only a strawman which claims people are "hating" based on sales or content
so being a person who has charted in top 10 in beatport and accomplished most of the commercial and personal goals i set for myself in music is my criticism more valid now?
as a consumer, producer, and dj it's not valid to say i know how to use a gain knob and that brickwall limiting sounds like shit? that i'd rather have a good master and not false loudness by squashing everything till the RMS meter is spiking?

I have only two words for you.
And I don't even need to write them for you to understand my point.
Oh and I suggest you read this before you carry on trying to produce witty responses.
