Heard this track on the DJ Sir Spyro rinse fm show. Through hunting around and consulting various grime heads, I got a track name, artist and probable release label.

I was thinking of just keeping it to myself, not telling anyone, and then dropping it, unidentified, in a mix (when it comes out), but I changed my mind. Here is the set rip:

I used to think I was the daddy, playing one of the less known remixes of the XX, then I heard it come on the playlist in the fucking pub I work at.

To be fair, the comapny (external people) that sorts out the music in mitchels and butler pubs is FUCKING on it. For one of the biggest chains of pubs in the country, it plays alot of seriously good shit! Have heard loads of burial, that xx remix, dabryes remix of one ting, battle for middle you...loads of shit. Someone knows their stuff!

Hmm, played a couple of fairly unknown tunes at the night I used to run that have destroyed the place. Had a real big rig, and one of my best moments DJing ever was watching the crowds reaction to Bass Masters - Bass Bug
