what your lacking is creativity and the capability of reading the rules

If you mean the rules as in replying to others tracks, I did, butit was in the tunes feedback forum. I thought it meant as long as we were giving back it was good. What do u mean I lack creativiy? Is it too cliched?

fair enough at least you gave feed back, and yes, the tune was way to cliche, cheesy synths and the same drum roll everyone uses, try mixing it up and experimenting

@Bassf4ce: really lacking everything overall tbh. try highpassing your wubs at 100-150hz and add in some sub. boost the sub at 50-55hz ish to give it a pump. the song needs more structure overall it's really random. read this thread: http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=233775

@DJ Higgumz: pretty cool melody. give the song some space before the drop and then let it drop it kinda gives it that illusion of a "heavier" drop. as for the bass it needs some more movement and the cymbals kinda get lost when the song drops try lowering your sub a tad bit

@1stfiest: neat idea and well produced everything sounds very clear. could use some white noise? pretty experimental stuff i dig it. it kind of gets boring in the middle part but the intro is really neat. but damn its all about that last drop :corndance:

anyways here's my tune: Soundcloud

@deafblindmusic: cool vibe but it does get a little repetitive after a while
@mthrfnk: that is in fact a very chill track you have there, it might benefit from an additional synth thrown in sporadically just to mix it up some. I imagine more is on the way?
@stranger_sounds: I like your selection of percussion instruments. The track is pretty interesting, would like to hear more. I do feel that it needs MOAR BASS but I can never get enough...

Here is my latest work, I'm not sure if I should do anything else with it so feedback would be very much appreciated. It is quite a bit different in style then what I usually do but I'm more pleased with it then any other track Ive done.

I did all the sound design in ableton or with my yamaha s80, no drum samples either, percussion was done in operator.

@ mthrfnk Tune is really relaxing, good melody and mood. And these broken drums. this kind of music I
aspire to do.

@ Bassf4ce I liked the intro and transitions between parts. But when the tune reaches 0:55, there should be
more variation, possibly drums should be changed after 4 bars, maybe add a heavier snare

@ ehbrums1 I think you need to make a sub bass more noticeable (unless of course it's not my monitors),
add more delay and reverb on the drums. Otherwise, the best tune I've heard today, although it is clear that
this is only a sketch

Well, this is the first song I decided to show here, not sure I know how to continue

@Bassf4ce: Lacking quite a bit man, keep up the word though, the mixdown doesn't very clear, which is giving you a muddy sound.

@DJ Higgumz:Pretty sweet melody you got going there.. as for the drop, wait a bit , let the frequenices get low, then bring that shit back up again!;P

@1stfiest: Love the idea, everything seems well produced, but it seems to get boring and repitive around the second drop.

Here's a WIP of my tune i've been working on today and since I've been in the ER, lol.

@ZankUSA Liking the vocal samples. Really nice synth work aswell. Might be worth putting more downlifters on the drop. Keep working on this, it's good.

@zen3013 Nice work with the delay. Drums are really nice. I'm not good with feedback on chill tracks. Nice stuff though.

@jclarkeiv Nice bass in the intro. Good work on the panning aswell. Maybe don't put that high pitch synth all the way to the left, kinda makes me feel lobsided. Really good work with all the synths.

Nearly finished this track. I think that's the best I can do on the drums.

@stranger_sounds - Pressure. Nice vibe on this. would definitely be bubblin' in a club if it came on. Cool track! Totem is also a big track. all sounds crisp n clean. no real criticism. want to hear the finished versions of both of them. keep me posted!!

@Darj - Sketches. Deep feel to this one. i reckon its cool. just need to tighten the mix up in my opinion. give the drums a little more punch etc. really think you could use that little bleep type noise i can hear at 2.11 a bit more. try adding and changing up the notes etc. i think that would give it a bit more of a creepy edge if it worked. nice

BudSpencertron - Selona. lovin this. i'd maybe be tempted to see what the sub is like an octave lower, personally i think that it may clean up the mix the slightest bit and "enhance" the tracks vibe. its a sick beat man. i'd be tempted to work on that guitar. to much sound of what i'm guessing is the body of the guitar imo. wouldn't mind a copy of the finished track:)

@Cthulhu 1st wip - grimey feel to it. could see someone spittin over it. one thing that pisses me of is the envelope shape on the sub causing it to click. if it were me i'd slow down the attack and lengthen the release slightly release. the high shit sweeping on top of the bass isn't doing it for me. i would use it less if i was going to use it at all. really like the idea.

2nd wip - like this one. its different. just mix issues imo. might want to look at some of the sub notes aswell. can imagine the finished track being big.

Got a few bits that are almost finished. 2 WIPs and an updated mix. Feedback on any of them is appreciated. Please mention which one. Thanks

thanks standby i know what you mean with the guitar its overpowering but to be honest i am happy that i could make it sound atleast ok haha cause i recorded into the shittiest headsetmic possible but i try my best to fix the things you pointed out when i can come up with something i send you the 320

to your wips both of them are done composition wise imo something i would like to hear in one cloud would be some kind of midrange bass at some point not a extrem one more like a hollow one or just a midrange stab, like the "happy" vibe though
second one is done you could always change something but the vibe is great but it sounds really great mixing wise :i:

:t:

It's literally my first attempt so don't be too harsh, I expect there'll be something wrong with it (EQ'd wrong I expect) but I haven't really done much reading up on the technical side of things so I've just gone with it. Also I'm just using a pair of in-ear's with no monitors or headphones, gonna get a load of gear next week when I get paid. :4:

It's meant to be dark and vibesy - whether it is or not I can not decide. It's hard to judge your own production, especially with a severe lack of knowledge of what you're doing.

Soundcloud

Welcome to criticism and advice, but don't be too harsh if it is bad. (very likely it is)

I'm gonna finish it regardless, it's just something about that sample that I love.

@phalanx - enter the void sample? some eerie shit. the kick doesnt seem to match with the space of the rest of the song. but other than that its a good start yo!

@ BudSpencertron - damn homie sedona is heady. liking the backwards violin. i got no complaints. shit is clappin.

@ standby - that first WIP is soundign good. got a nice rythm to it.sample work on the second is top notch. love the organ too. last song is clean as fuck too. nice collection homie!

heres a little remix im working on for a competition

Yeah. I made the drums before I started anything else and just moved them along after I did everything else, I don't really like the sound of it either. I'll probably change it to a classic kick on 1 snare on 3 kinda thing. Thanks!

Feedback for others:
@sprayyypaint: Intro is quite cool, I'd bring up the sample though. The main bass after the drop sounds a little muddy, maybe notch out some EQ. Otherwise the sounds are good, mixing is good too - the drums come through nicely. Like the breakdown too. Nice job.
@Standby: 1st) Nice vibes on the intro, love the overall feel to the track too. Mix sounds crisp - bass and drums are nice an clean. 2nd) Again really nice production. I don't really have any tips or criticisms on either. Really nice tunes man.
@Living_Tragedy: Nice intro, I think the chords stabs could be a more full compared to the other sounds though - they sounds a little flat. The drums sound good, the kick comes through well but in some places the yois and stuff maybe a little too loud still. I'd also work on varying your drums, the 4x4 kick gets boring, maybe add a double kick or double snare to finish off 8/16 bars. Good job man.
@zen3013Nice chilled vibes, drums sound good as do the melodies. The use of samples is also really nice - love the vocals. Definitely finish this one up man.

Whats the thoughts on this?
Soundcloud

Track was mixed on headphones, and very roughly mastered, some things probably sound shitty on other peoples systems.
Any comments, feedback and plays/comments on SoundCloud is really appreciated :)
Thanks. :W:

Imo your hats are a tiny bit too loud in the mix, I love the crackle, The intro has a great gangsta feel. This and some of your other tracks I heard are coming along really well. Following now :)
