Rupert Murdoch's been on the office telly ALL DAY and I'm starting to get itchy fists.

I've always wondered how they can expect the random person on the street to behave non-loutishly when they themselves behave like fucking schoolchildren.

The benches are the distance they are apart so that both sides could in theory draw swords and wave them at each other without touching.

I guess that's why the John Bercow's favourite phrase is "The public hate it when we..."

Arguing day in day out must be a difficult art though - I've got a bit of sympathy with them, tbh... I can imagine how frustrating it would be to have to sit in a room with hundreds of people I disagreed with on issues I thought were of national importance every single day and fight my corner knowing that I wasn't going to convince anyone of anything.

I'd argue that it's the one place in the country where tempers should spill over occasionally.

I'm not allowed to switch over to PMQs in the office anymore, though. I get "too serious" apparently.

I think they might need to be moved closer together and swords reinstituted. Would solve a lot of this country's problems.

I have a feeling this got QId or something? I was told the same when I did General Studies in 6th Form, but I'm pretty sure I read/saw recently that nobody's ever been allowed to carry a sword into the chamber apart from the Serjeant At Arms.

I'm going on a history tour I had when I were a lad, but it does seem in hindsight the sort of thing Demios Fry would've mentioned.

The one that gets me is Cameron when he's trying to take the piss out of milliband or whoever, always leans on the desk with that smug smile on his face. One of those faces you just want to inflict abh on
