I never would have got into electronic music if it wasn't for watching it in a massive arena with hundreds of people. Outlook totally changed my attitude, was blown away, ever since then been obsessed, started making things.
It's all about the live shows really... that's the fun part. When you see something live it just conveys much more emotion, a sense of sharing a moment with people that love the same tunes, same acts etc. Never got that seeing wobbly dubstep personally, just people moshing.. horrible vibes, no sense of emotive drive in that music at all, but for other genres a live show is best. Seeing Rustie and Hudson Mohawke back to back at Outlook changed my taste somehow, so good.

I do feel for Sonika, by the time he's old enough to reach in the US....Dubstep will be long gone from any place near him.
I am fortunate enough that this is the first dance music I ever got into and was around 18 when I get in, meaning I didn't have the problem of not attending raves. Hearing this music on a system though has totally changed my view on dance music forever...I have appreication for Techno, House, Drum and Bass, Jungle now. Before I didn't get it.
