Hi, I'm new to the forum so hello peoples.

*waves*
This is my new deep dubstep track, Stickman.
Soundcloud
It's not been mastered properly yet or anything but the mix is clear enough for now I think. Give me some feedback please, thanks for your time.

Amazing for a new comer! Keep your style like that, keep it real instead of producing useless brostep like Skrillex!

This is a good tune. I think the bass is one of the best aspects and I like the melodic progression. The drums are also good, however one aspect of the percussion did not sound quite right to me. It's quite possibly a question of taste but I would play around with the timing of the hat that comes in at 1:10 to make the groove feel better (appreciate this is completely subjective). I do really like the fact that you have the progression in percussion, though. Hope this helps and keep it up.

From a mixdown point of view the drums sound like they are lacking quite a bit in the mids, I'd try a wide boost around 500-2Khz as a starting point.

Thanks a lot guys.
I think the the hats are a taste thing to be honest, I like it like but thanks for your feedback.
I'll try that with the mids of the drums too, thanks!

def feeling the minimal dubstep atm, nice work.
i agree with jeanblanc bout them hats tho, or if you keep them like that id suggest punching the off beat one out more or changing its sound.

Ahh, I was really happy with those hats. :L I don't think I'm going to change them 'cause I like them y'know, and it is about making something I like but fair enough. I might mess around with it. I dunno, I thought it worked well when the shakers come in too and it's just meant to sound disjointed before that anyway.
I forgot to mention that this is the instrumental actually, and the full vocal mix isn't done yet.

Love the bass, only thing I would say is maybe a little verb or delay on it as feels a little bit dry at the moment, but thats alot down to personal taste! love the beat!

I'd do some more low-pass automation on your bassline, lacks a bit power like this. Other than that; good stuff! Nice percussion and progression
