Komonazmuk s/t album [HENCH]

Post by ultraspatial »

Out in a couple of days http://www.dstyle.co.uk/shop/product/97/henchlp004
Best release from the HENCH camp so far imo. Some of the tunes wouldn't be too out of place on Nonplus, or even Exit.

Finally some new Komonazmuk bits. Used to be one of my fav producers a couple of years back.
Very excited about this album.

Dude, had no idea about this till I stumbled across it on juno. Thought to myself surely there would be a thread about this one. Instant purchase. This one is so nice! Very refreshing indeed.

very advanced album package and huge respect to Hench for putting it out. Impressed by what I've heard so far, varied styles as should expect from an album
I like my beats fresh.

Nothing wrong with this, varied for sure: it's got a few harder hitting tunes but then it also ventures into more funky territories and yes there's even some exit-esque tracks. But, I have to be the fun spoiler here and say, it doesn't really turn my world upside down either. It's good, but done before and done better...sorry, really appreciate Komonazmuk, one of the final good producers on the mediocrity that has become HENCH.

I disagree. Considering the current trends and sounds coming out these days this definitely is a well needed breath of fresh air. Especially when you consider that so many of the original cats that used to produce these kinds of sounds have abandoned 140 completely.

+1, used to look forward to the latest HENCH releases, always special. But now meh, no disrespect to jakes but the tracks just dont do it anymore, Harking back to the days of Custard Creams, Warface, the Chasing Shadows Releases & Komonazmuks early bits. Label lost it's magic with the wank Beezy tunes etc. This Albums alright but I've heard better from the man!
