as far as i understand they've been discontinued.

Trax, search Kajiji for some Technics 1200's, Calgary seems to be full people selling them. Lowest price I have found was $350 I got one for $400.

You found a 1200 mk2 for 400 maybe.. but you didnt find an MK5G for that.. If you did, whoever is selling for that cheap is a moron.... plain and simple.

UNless you find someone desperate, they are going for about 800 USD, 3grand for a pair of brand new ones.. Try again.

i fix / buy / sell these as a sideline and i would never buy a set of the mark 5s unless i had someone willing to buy them,

they look kinda tacky and also after a coupla years use the silver starts to come off the buttons (start button / 45 button etc) which is weird cos this doesnt happen on mrk3s

you should see the new parts they have installed in them too, its like u opened a kids fisher price toy up looool
