Re: Working Out....
Yeah, I mean I may not be the best person to take advise from but i'm the only person answering atm, so...
I stopped reading about exercise years ago coz too many studies have conflicting conclusions. Also they can be true for one person and not the other. Just do whatever works for you, as I say, if you're seeing results then it's working, ay.
If you want to change things up and you're still looking for mass then the 5x5 regime is very good for that. 5 sets of the heaviest weight you can do 5 reps of. Only thing i'd say about that is it (personally) builds mass but not solidity, if that makes sense.
Maybe try that for 8 weeks then see where you are.

I turn into a pathetic waste of space if I don't hit the gym at least once a week.
I'm really shit though. Been going for months, and still have no routine - I kind of just think about a body part and then tear around thinking it's working.

EDIT: Also, I think you may have just hurt my feelings, bro.
Re: Working Out....
how do gym nuts not eat carbs?
i fucking love carbs, so so much. Rice, french bread, cereal. My diet is near enough 70% carbs, 30% meat.
Is a toned body really better than a nice risotto? And I'm talking a really nice risotto here.

on the topic, has anyone tried Shirataki Noodles?
Re: Working Out....
Not all carbs are created equal. Rice, pasta, bread etc are all good, just not the white varieties. Go wholemeal.Lucifa wrote:how do gym nuts not eat carbs?

Typical meal should ideally be 25% low-GI carbs, 25% protein (meats) and 50% vegetables, for example;Today wrote:a trainer told me once, protein is like the surfer but the carbs are like his surfboard, he needs them to surf in to your body on

Steak, oven baked sweet potato wedges, steamed brocolli, steamed carrots.

Re: Working Out....
Good choice on the sweet potato.
Normal potatoes seem to be falling out of favor.
