Choosing which record and in which order you play them is an art. Djing is not just about playing records, but about making a set that will take the audience where the DJ want to take it. A DJ set should be a very long song. Dubstep tracks are often made for DJ's and not to be listened to at home (ex. long intro with drums for the mix in). Producers work hard on making great tracks and DJ's work hard on putting them together in a way that blows your head off. To my opinion a dj set can be much more valuable than a spectacular live in which the sounds can often be not very varieted.
