Definitely too loud, imo. Also the mix space is just weird as hell, like not in a good way. Maybe just a drop in that modern talking wide bass would solve it. Makes more sense starting around 2:11. But yeah, some verb to blend that into the mix. Bandpassed bass guitar also gets shit on
by the hyper wide bass.
Re: THE ONE-TUNE-A-WEEK-CHALLENGE THREAD
I was thinking about increasing the reverb on the wah bass and decrease the volume and putting the vocals together in a room, hi end boosted. Will consider the full wet fart modern talking bass drop only after 2:11nowaysj wrote:Definitely too loud, imo. Also the mix space is just weird as hell, like not in a good way. I don't know man, honestly, mixing hyper sounding contemporary superbasses with traditional instruments is beyond my skill level, no jokes.
I do know that mix is sounding weird as hell to me! haha!

Re: THE ONE-TUNE-A-WEEK-CHALLENGE THREAD
I've been on this tune for two weeks now, 3~4 days to get the drums sounding natural without actually recording them. Shit's hard indeed.nowaysj wrote:I don't know man, honestly, mixing hyper sounding contemporary superbasses with traditional instruments is beyond my skill level, no jokes.

Tricky thing is some things were duplicated through another buss, but others should have been muted on their feed to a buss. I think the kick was duplicated, yeah? Ah, whatevers man, it's your problem now
