Jack Dixon - You Won't let me EP (Apollo)

Wow really feeling this one. Jack Dixon has always been good, releasing some gems on "smaller" labels, but here he deffo takes two steps forward production wise, leaving behind the garage thing and bringing only some of the vocal tinkering with him.

Truly blissful stuff, reminding me of Locked Groove's "Rooted", the first record on Apollo by Synkro, and other deepness. LUSH.

This new style Apollo seems to be must cop all around.

I've followed him for just over a year now, so good to see him get a bigger label release here. What he does isn't necessarily original, it's just a bit better than most.
