Okay Sizzla, here's what everyone I know seems to be saying about that ol' 92 of yours

main relay or if your distributor has the coil built in might be a bad ignitor.

if it does it when sittin in the hot sun or right after you turn it off for 5 minutes and doesn't start its probably the fuel main relay.

Another friend said he had to redo the main relay on every cb7 ive owned they have problems with them all the time.

So Resolder the Main relay, see if that fixes it. then if not try the distributor ignitor if you haven't already. After that maybe consider replacing the relay with a new one

Hope this does the FIXX for ya

The mechanic said som'n bout checking the fuel relay or switch, he took off the steering wheel too.

The distributor was cleaned on two occasions as there was some oil leaking into it and was thought to be causing a short or som'n. the mechanic said that was a classic Honda problem. After each clean it started without any problems for a couple of days. So i went and bought a new distributor. After a couple of days the problem continued. That's when he gave up and suggested somebody that's an expert with Hondas and with their electrical components.

i'll tell him bout the first thing you said tho, if he still can't figure it out i'll have to take it to the dealership where they're gonna charge me $85 bucks just to check it. who knows what the total cost might be. good lookin out tho, appreciate it.

YO, let me know before you take it to honda okay?
I might have a couple more ideas for you

for your info the main relay costs about $50 from a parts store

And please check the dizzy again to see if the oil leaking problem is back, there's a solution to that as well

I know what it's like, honda garages CAN be good but they ARE bloody expensive......

Could be, hard to say.....

When you had the Dizzy replaced was it a brand new part? if so it should be FINE but if there is still a leak you may need a new o-ring or you may need a new cam-seal (niether is expensive)

For what it's worth, I still reckon it's the RELAY, almost allways is, but seeing as you've had a prob with the dizzy already it's worth checking out...

New distributors should really be fitted with brand new seals so hopefully your mechanic has done this? In which case it should be fine.

If you let me know (pm) roughly where you are at ( what town, city ) My mate says he might know some friendly honda owner that will come and help you out...
