Cant really arque with anything you guys have said. Although I did see a comment that said I didnt know what tempo was, and I definitely do know what it is lol.But other than that, yea you guys are pretty spot on. I had already said I was new to producing so naturally I dont know much about the roots of true dubstep. Didnt mean to offend anyone, especially because I didnt know anti dub war. It just sounds so different from todays dubstep. But non the less Im glad you guys learned me a thing or two and Im glad I actually had an online argument and it stayed pretty civil :W: I respect everyones opinions on here and there knowledge of dubstep, and I know most of you hate me already but Im going to be sticking around here for a while through my learning production stages. BUT unfortunately, I do like the sound of...brostep...compared to the others sounds Ive heard, so thats the direction Ill be taking my production in. Hope we can all get along still lol And feel free to use me as a classic noob example for people who dont know dubstep, 'cause I definitely crushed it XD

...thats obviously not me

Oh and I remember reading a post about something like Ive never been to underground before. I started in underground with 8bit, Kromestar, Mala; Im familiar with all of them. Unfortunately, at the same time, the new era of dubstep was beginning, and theundgerground scene was run by people like Borgore, Datsik, Vaski, Cookie Monster, etc...So hearing those sounds and then hearing the other sounds, I obviously got confused as to what was what in terms of dubstep. But like I said before, its all EDM to me.

Edit: Stopped reading when he said Anti-War Dub wasn't dubstep.

Lost cause imo.
It's clearly riddim/chillstep
Na dats cotti, dunt u no enyfink bout dub?

Cyrex, glad you're stick it out. I give it a month before you either stop coming on here or it'll grow on you and you'll start to appreciate some decent dubstep... I sincerly hope the latter.

Nah man Im gonna stick around. Theres too much knowledge here not to. And I do appreciate it, Its just nothing I would listen to on the daily. I respect it. I dont see myself making that style of dubstep though

Ah ok well if he released some that are unobtainable then no, I dont have them. Nor do I have any vinyls. Anything on cd that he released I downloaded. Some guy posted his whole dubstep collection a while back elsewhere and I dled it. Had a Coki discography in it

Haha sadly dubfreak, I could care less. I dont even have an argument lol so you can play with yours boats in the tub all you want, it means nothing to me. Everything Ive said Ive been truthful about. As a producer I can see how that would bother you but you cant sit there and say youve never downloaded music from the internet that wasnt initially free, or downloaded loops and samples that wasnt free. Your a damn liar if you say you havnt

I support artists by going to there shows, which is the only thing you cant illegally download and costs much more money than there music

How many Coki shows have you been to to justify taking his whole back catalogue for nothing?

Where was it, and when, if you can remember?

Was Coki the only person on the line-up? Do you really think he got $75 of your money?

No there was a couple of them. it was back in either '10-11. To be honest, I think it was during my trip to Ireland. If not it was in Jamaica, NY. Cant remember which was which. And your really splitting hairs here. If he came to the states more often, hed have more of my money. I dont buy cds or vinyls, and everything of his on itunes can be found on soundcloud.

Going by this: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Coki#t=Re ... EPs&q=&p=1 he has like 5 Cds and the rest are singles. If you really want to split hairs, yes he did get his moneys worth to compensate for my downloading, because I dont even have some of those
