the wiggle baron wrote:fuckin right!! Just got home from work and the demo of arma 2 was downloaded, tested it on crap graphics (well, normal settings at 1024x768...more than enough for me!) and it ran clean as a fecking whistle.

Have operation arrowhead downloading as we speak :D :D

First game ive bought in years, soooo excited. Still anticipating a painful day tomorrow of probably spending all day trying to get it to work and not actually getting to play it before work, but still...so excited for this.

Deadly habit, when I get this all up and running (hoping tomorrow) you want to spend a day failing to find each other on this enormous fucking map? Followed by possibly actually finding each other and one of us panicking and nailing the other one in the head...
heh i'm game we can coordinate on skype (id deadly.habit)
i tried solo today, shot one zombie figuring out controls, ran and amassed prolly a swarm of 40+ zombies in process. lead them to a town and got killed by a player and eaten, but got to see the zombies i drew swarm the guy who shot me.

this was all in 20 mins

Lol...it's cost me £15 in total. :)

ArmA II free and then OA, will install the mod on Friday as I got shit to do today.

Excited to play it...seems like a really interesting concept. We need a ninja hunting party. :W:

I may well have to get this.
It`ll be the first game I`ve ever bothered to play online.

I read you only need Arrowhead if you want the high resolution models. So it might just work with ARMA2 free alone? Dunno if anyone tried. I might have it confused with another addon pack.

I am using Arma II free and then Arrowhead. Think you get some shitter textures but don't care.

Apparently my video card isn't good enough but downloaded the demo and it ran fine. Could probably do with turning the graphics down slightly but it runs pretty well.

I may go town later and buy headset/usb mouse.. it does look like a game that would take up so much of my time though, thankfully exams are over.

Even with high res textures it dont' look THAT great anyways; and when you're running away from 93849024832 zombies do you really want to be distracted by prettiness?

With high res textures and smaa enabled, it looks pretty damn sweet.
Do you really want to be distracted by bad textures?

Getting ARMAII free as we speak; going to see if it runs - I forgot I got a little minor upgrade from the last time I played it (GPU/RAM) and should be able to run it aighttt - if I can i'll buy the expansion and join you lot (maybe kill all you lot haven't decided yet)

I am not fussed for textures, I am just doing it on the cheap.

Considering they are thinking of making it for ArmA III which is out this year, don't fancy dropping anymore money just to play an alpha mod.

Looking forward though. :4:
