I would only buy those "DUBSTEP" BRAND headphones if it had DUBSTEP written on it, so people would know of my alternative listening choices.

Also, ISM - are the specs and hair detachable?

Dunno man, my cheap £15 JVC in-ears are perfectly fine, certainly sound better than beats anyways
I don't get this. The most used in-ears are probably by apple and I know
for a fact those Dre headphones offer a way better listening experience. Can't even compare em.
They are all crap in their own unique ways though.

Well apple ones are shit, my JVCs are good though, decent clarity and a lot of low end

I have Sennheiser in-ears and they are excellent.
They weren't cheap though, but worth it.
At least I don`t look like a tnuc when wearing them.

A pair of $20 Sennheiser HD-201's and a beard here too.

Oh, news flash: Usain Bolt is getting on board this scam as well.

Usain Bolt Now Part of the Shitty Celeb Headphones Illuminati

In an occult ceremony involving Dr. Dre, Justin Bieber, Diddy, and Ludacris, Usain Bolt was inducted into the famous person headphone cash-in club. One of the greatest humans in the history of the species now shills for gadgets!

Until now, SOUL headphones and other miscellaneous pieces of dumb plastic were pushed by Ludacris alone. They're pretty crummy and unattractive, in addition to being horrendously overpriced. Now one of athletics' greatest figures will be partially responsible for their existence. Here is every part of the press release that is sad and/or bad:
SOUL Electronics and the world's fastest man, Usain Bolt, have announced a branding partnership.

"He's a perfect representation of what SOUL stands for, and an ideal Brand Ambassador."

Usain Bolt noted, "I work hard at attaining my goals and in addition, I always try to inspire others to work hard and attain their dreams. I am looking forward to working with SOUL to deliver this message."

SOUL headphone models currently under development with Bolt include a...version of the company's popular SL300 that pays a stylish homage to the athlete's home, Jamaica.
Celeb endorsements are easy to ignore when it's just some money bulge who grins and preens for a living anyway, but Usain Bolt! You're the fastest human alive. You're better than this, right? No, nobody is better than this. All human accomplishment has been subsumed.

Overhead headphones dont even look good. They make you look like a dork. I remember two years ago the only people who wore them were old people and the mentally ill on the bus.

They are admittedly comfy though. Atleast the pair I had on at Best Buy for 3 seconds.

Overheard some kids in my class talking like "Yeah the whole team (*Basketball I think*) should get maroon and white custom Beats!!" (Maroon and white are our school colors). I chuckled.

Lol If anything expensive headphones are a way to get people to buy music. Ever since I got my denons I started noticing how terrible the quality is on some tunes I used to listen to with cheaper cans. It's so bad I physically can't listen to the shit. Dunno how accurate the beats are, never tried a pair.
