nah its defo easier to get the hang of things when you're with a group, cos most of us know all the keys and general tactics
plus if you fuck up you probably wont die because you have buddies that can save you :)

OK, I'll get Skype for next time I play. Currently it seems like the game is pretty unplayable.

install the latest beta patch, I was going crazy about low fps but i installed that and it made the game alot more stable, gave me at least 20fps.
and it makes joining servers alot quicker, as the beta servers aren't full all the time.

its a single player wrapper for DayZ, it should be really useful for you new guys to familiarize yourselves with.

ok just had my first proper session... jeez..

my webcam mic seems to work well enough for talking but is skype honestly the best program to use for voice communication? i was using steam voice calling before with handbanana it seemed ok

yeah steams alright but not all of us have steam copies of the game
like me I bought the retail one off amazon.. so i cant use steam overlay (or can i?)
better off just getting skype man, its really easy to use and its lightweight
deadly is thinking of hiring a teamspeak server for us all as well, very kind of him :)

Trainrek, i know your computer shut down, haven't moved from where I was but i'm gonna sleep now anyway, thought you'd be more likely to check this thread than Skype. Safe.
