My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

Fuck it, I'd still stand by my choice - I get more out of Firefox than I would having anything else on my work machine.

As in when two people had disagreements within the Production in the past, if the arguments/bad blood went on for too long and started to encroach on the day-to-day running of things, then a tune battle was called for to settle things once and for all.

Kinda like a dual, but with beats instead of pistols at dawn.

Example;

Audiowright challenges Junglist to a tune Battle - http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=66438
*TUNE BATTLE*- Sirius* Vs Deadly Habit!! Deadly WON!! - http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=173449
3za VS Legend4ry tune battle (Legend4ry WINS) - http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=175310

I also think Basic A battled someone, but can't remember who :?

The people who cause the arguments are usually no talenters, and the people who would actually make for interesting battles are savvy enough to not get drawn into long running arguments.

I don't think that's a fair comment, a good debate can help people understand each others point of view. As long as it stays civil and there's no personal insults then its a good thing imo.

But i wouldn't say someone's talentless just because they might not agree with a more experienced producer - people are always pushing the 'find your own sound/methods' argument and saying that there are no rules, so really nobody's right or wrong in a lot of debates.

I've been drawn into a lot of lengthy discussions over the past couple of years, and as a result i've thought about things from different perspectives, just saying.

Then it wouldn't be an argument though, it'd be a discussion. We have plenty of civil(-ish) dicussions on here, but not so many arguments anymore.
