Same, the beats he got for Tical were raw though.

Masta Killa is probably my most favourite, and Inspectah Deck is up there.
Masta brings it for sure. For me it's gotta be RZA, GZA, and then Inspectah. RZA's production skills are too sick to not give him the number one spot.

Homework is Daft Punk's best album.
If this is the future, it seems highly livable: shiny, cool and comfortably dissonant. Like a low dose of ketamine in an empty, luminous airport hall in northern Japan, eating avocado and waiting for the universe to arrive.

Seriously, I think the writing process for that thing consisted of him rambling drunkenly until a really high Method Man thought it sounded good and told him he should record it. RZA, having hundreds of amazing beats, decided to let ODB use a few just so he would get hopped up on coke and kill every member of the group

ODB with the Clan = Amazing
ODB solo, not so much.
this is why I do not rate ODB, he is overrated

Hmmmmmm Well they say its their best work. I have to say Alive is as it blows me away how they take stuff from Homework,Discovery and Human After All and basically make a new album and a whole new load of songs out of it.

Actually Im going to listen to it now. Out to the Daft Punk fans :Q:

Kahn is pretty good, not fussed about some of his tunes, but the ones I do like, I fully rate.

Anyway, unpopular opinion - Swamp 81s releases are getting increasingly boring. How long can you stretch out 808/909/X0X drums over a little vocal sample? If you're Loefah's mate and you put together an interchangable, done-to-death "UK Bass" track that goes off on the floor, watch your record fly off the shelves.

^^^^init !!! I still rate Hessle a lot especially with the new Bandshell release because it's bringing change and the label is really moving forward, but Swamp81 been stale for maybe a year imo

Yeah, even the Hessle Releases I'm not feeling (didn't like the Elgato one, haven't made my mind up on Bandshell one yet) are doing something different. Last 5 releases were Elgato, Objekt, Peverelist, Pangaea and Pearson Sound, all sound different from each other. Just seems like everything I hear that's forthcoming on Swamp is just some anonymous 808 business.

I don't really like any of the tracks posted above apart from the last two but still don't feel the need to listen to them again any time soon.
