alright so I've got a bit of drum going here but they feel to loop-y any suggestions on how to spice them up a bit?

Its seems like your only varying the end of the phrase, try giving elements towards the beginning of the clip a bit of a shuffle round, and add some as one shots
if that made any sense, its like 6amand ive been up all night again, getting nothing done :lol:

Record yourself hitting different objects and ROUND ROBIN it. This will help a lot.

I really enjoy percussion in my music.

I mainly use single percussive hits from online sample packs, but i record a few of my own hits too. I load them into the EXS24, and i use the pitch dial quite often if there's one percussive hit i really like. By moving the pitch up or down a few semitones you can create a whole new sample pack of slightly different hits, all from one original.

Then it's just a case of playing in a percussive 'melody' on my pads with the main drum pattern on loop. I don't hard quantise after i'm happy with the results, i just go through the pattern and drag any notes that sound too far out into place.
