It's not that bizarre, most unsuccessful people (that know they're not going to put in the work to change things) hate on people more successful than them. It's the inevitable next step after giving up on yourself. Haters deserve pity more than anything.

You're the one double posting in a desperate attempt to defend what's obvious to most people who'll read this thread. Hating doesn't have anything to do with being a fan, it's more of an issue of self-worth and confidence in your abilities. Imo real music fans (people who simply love music instead of artists/genres) can find something to enjoy in any song. For example, I'm not a Justin Beiber fan by any stretch, but if someone played a track of his to me I know I could find something to admire (be it a chord progression, the mixdown, whatever). I wouldn't presumptuously (speaking of which) pigeonhole someone's entire discography because I feel it's for angsty teenagers, especially after admitting to liking metal which was aimed at the very same crowd a few decades ago.

Are you trying to tell me that if someone hates on an artist that is because he's not good and everything he makes is inferior ?.... So by that logic if John Lennon came back to life and said skrillex sucks then suddenly he is a hater who is jealous because he can't make tracks that are as good as his

Just for the record, Skrillex isn't "self-made" or any of that shit - he got an insane amount of commercial backing and power from Deadmau5 and Mau5trap. He wasn't just "discovered," Deadmau5 heard the tunes he was making, was like "yeah this sound is going to be very commercially appealing", and then they pushed it to Beatport who helped put skrillex into the main view. He wasn't just "discovered" or self made

Personally i like skrills tracks, but after all the "teen" radiostations started to play his tracks and all the teens round here started to listen skrillex i just lost my interest to skrill. And i have many times laughed to teens round here whose like "yeah skrillex is d4 b3st hes like the god of dubstep and theres no other dubstep than skrillex" etc. and thats sad. All the "good" tracks are raped by radiostations cuz they play songs over and over again.

Almost punched one guy when he was trying to act like some fucking guru of dubstep or w/e and he was like yeah skrillex invented this dubstep thing and bla bla bla...

I like brostep just not skrillex,i'm not jealous at all i just simply don't like his tunes.Feed me is a much better producer using similar techniques in his tracks to skrillex.His sound design is better,mix's are better,beats are better.....you get my point.You can listen to it all you like but like you we are welcome to our own tastes,it does not boil down to jealousy at all and really to be honest you are just showing immaturity,if a Justin Beiber/Skrillex collab gets you off props mate you got the same taste as my 2 teenage kids.

I completely agree with you there, but Feed Me has been at it much much longer as Spor. If you listen to some of Spor's older stuff, mix wise it's no better than skrillex, but spor also wasn't signed to a juggernaut label like mau5trap. I really don't rate Feed Me's latest output though. Seems like he's sort of taking a break from the neurofunk infused dubstep he started out making. Plus I just miss Spor.

I have respect for skrillex, and think he's a talented producer; I just can't stand most of his music.

Who the fuck is self-made nowadays anyways? Everybody relies at least to some extent on others for exposure. I don't see how deadmau5 taking a liking to skrillex's music detracts from him in any way.
