Re: Lurka - Blondez
Lurka is definitely one of my top 5 at the moment, and he's been there for quite some time. I love the fact that his second drops are always something insane and most importantly, his tunes aren't just a 5 minute loop of the same thing with no variation. His percussion techniques are amazing, and he's established a very signature and unique sound. Refresher is such a perfect example of the way he can use the minimalism of drums and bass to create a rich, dark atmosphere. The only other producer I know of that does it as well as Lurka is Cyrus.

Cornbreadddd, you should start a blog for your reviews of artists and tracks... With such obvious passion and good wording you could capture the attention of quite a few potential readers
Big big tune, Lurka's such a badman. Hoping for more Commodo/Lurka collabs as well

Haha, I've actually been considering beginning to make a youtube channel based around the scene and do like, in depth video reviews on the most current releases, talk about topics & questions, maybe feature some tutorials from people who have production experience and things like that. If you're familiar with Anthony Fantano and his channel "theneedledrop" it would be similar to that, but for dubstep.JizzMan wrote:Cornbreadddd, you should start a blog for your reviews of artists and tracks... Re: Lurka - Blondez
Yes, a needledrop bass channel would be very good, you should definitely give it a go; there is space on YouTube for a channel that reviews UK bass music so it could turn out to be successful. I think I'm actually subscribed to the Cornbreadddd channel on youtube, had to to keep track of any angry comments you put on there to make my day more funnyCornbreadddd wrote:Haha, I've actually been considering beginning to make a youtube channel based around the scene and do like, in depth video reviews on the most current releases, talk about topics & questions, maybe feature some tutorials from people who have production experience and things like that.
