Hey guys, this is my remix of Kurfew's Dopplershift! It is a heavy Dubstep tune, so tell me what you think!

Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks!

Re: [Dubstep] Kurfew - Dopplershift (NoGoodInk Remix)
The kick is quite flat and not as heavy as the tune would otherwise suggest. Likewise the snare is lacking a bit of power to it and sounding overly splashy as a result. The midrange is sitting too high in the mix and dominating the frequency range a little too much, maybe look at some subtractive EQing to make space for the other elements. The section 1m43s onwards is far too noisy as a result.

Thanks man, very informative! I definitely agree, but perfection comes with time. And for a guy who just learned how mastering works, I think I am doing an OK job. One suggestion I would make to you when replying to peoples music, is just to try and give an upside to their tunes as well. You don't want to be a total downer on someones day!wub wrote:The kick is quite flat and not as heavy as the tune would otherwise suggest. Thanks again though.

My comment was more about the mixdown than the mastering job.NoGoodInk wrote:for a guy who just learned how mastering works, I think I am doing an OK job.
I give upsides where I see them. And TBF you did say "Any feedback would be appreciated"...should've said if you specifically wanted positive feedback.NoGoodInk wrote:One suggestion I would make to you when replying to peoples music, is just to try and give an upside to their tunes as well.
