This isn't about posting stuff to deliberately make people go "ZOMSFSMG!! SO SHITT!!!1!!!". This is an off-topic forum where people chat about everyday bullshit to kill time at work/home. No one is forcing anyone to read or even contribute...but don't think for one second that something said in jest here about 'Dubstep' and it's perceived value in The Real World™ is going to affect things any more than a video of a drunk cat would change animal welfare policy.

Why is it that all the people commenting on youtube about "real dubstep" listen to shitty dubstep themselves?

DOn't know if you remember but they actually had that on Youtube for a while.
They're are quite a lot of ideas of the XKCD author that got realized or implemented in some way :D

absolute bollocks
I probably should of worded that better, most times I've heard pop stars dabble in other genres it's been poorly executed. Obviously these producers have some skill but I just think they are so used to making generic simple beats that when it comes to making more intricate styles they seem to struggle.

pop music is not a genre.
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

You need this in your life: https://spoi.com/software/yto/
Youtube Options browser plugin. Lets you do stuff like hide comments, change default video quality/size, show the video and -nothing- else etc.

Makes youtube enjoyable again. Or you can turn each one on again with a click if you're feeling masochistic.
