Audio Interface
So.
Looking for a basic audio interface to record my mixes, don't need anything fancy but obviously I don't want to waste my money on crap either.
Anyone got any experience in audio interfaces? Basically what I want is something that will give me decent sound quality recordings, but not much else. Want something cheap but willing to spend a bit more if it means the quality will be much better.
Behringer U-Control UCA222 £20ish
M-Audio Fast Track - £50ish
M-Audio Fast Track Pro £80ish
If the Behringer will do the job and will record my mixes with decent enough sound quality, then I'd prefer to go for that, but if it's a pile of poo then I'd want to spend the extra.

Re: Audio Interface
Stay away from M-Audio.
If you want a budget sound card I would go for http://www.juno.co.uk/products/focusrit ... 2BShopping.
But...that's not far off an Audio 6 which is like £200 and would obviously have the added bonus of Traktor.
So either save up quite a bit more or just fuck it and get the Behringer.

Re: Audio Interface
Was looking at the Audio 6, which, as mentioned above, is about £200, but i saw I could get this for £275:

Is that everything I'd need for playing digital vinyl? If so, I may just get the Behringer to tide me over for a couple of months then pick that up when I'm feeling more flush.

That's right (providing you have your laptop / computer already sorted)meanmrcustard wrote:Was looking at the Audio 6, which, as mentioned above, is about £200, but i saw I could get this for £275:

Please don't buy the behringer
If not then see if you can find a friend who has an interface and borrow one or record your mix elsewhere.
Re: Audio Interface
Yeah, I second that. Even if you can get a Focusrite for £60-80, it's still just taking money away from the Audio 6.meanmrcustard wrote:Was looking at the Audio 6, which, as mentioned above, is about £200, but i saw I could get this for £275:

Re: Audio Interface
Sorry to bump this up but I'm also looking at getting the Traktor Audio 6 Interface. But I'm still a noob to producing so I have almost no knowledge about external soundcards/interfaces. I want to start getting into DJ mixing on a midi controler/mixer but most budget ones don't have internal sound cards so I thought I might as well buy one seeing as it's a good idea to have one for producing too.
Is this Audio 6 interface like any other external soundcard? Like I could plug studio monitors and into them and stuff (if/when I get studio monitors) ??
Thanks any replies/info would be appreciate!
