Lowriders Recordings unleash yet another beast of an album with the “Electrophilic EP”, a heavyweight production from the Berlin beat maestro known as Doshy. Doshy is a natural fit into the Lowriders ever expanding catalog of genre defying music. The German producer embodies the label’s signature aesthetic of operating in the space between styles, cross breeding funky Dubstep with the crunk bass of Southern Hip Hop. This album will surely get the booty bouncin’ in parties and clubs all over the globe.

With over ten years of production experience, he’s no stranger to the scene. Doshy is the man behind the Robox Neotech record label. He produced a stellar remix of Hovatron’s “Super Soaker” on the “Gypsy Trader EP” last year for Lowriders Recordings, and gained much praise for his “Suspiria” album on Rwina Records. Lowriders is proud to put Doshy on wax for their tenth release.
The “Electrophilic EP” contains four head knockin’ productions by Doshy, remixes by Coco Bryce and Monky, and a VIP remix by legendary tuntablist D-Styles.
The “Electrophilic EP” kicks off with “Zoid”. This funky beat gets the party jumping with playful energy, superb programming, and a synth riff that keeps it gangster. “Plastic” is up next, droppin’ a massive dose of bass in your face! This thick and moody track is a fan favorite, and has been getting tons of love on Doshy’s Soundcloud! On the flip, we crack open the hive and release “Hornets”. The crunk funk of this tune is guaranteed to get em swarming to the dancefloor! Coco Bryce and Monky caught the buzz, and both knock out a remix. Coco takes an interesting approach and mixes elements of both “Plastic” & “Hornets”. With the addition of a distorted breakbeat, the remix embodies both of the originals while introducing some old school flava. Monky bangs out a warm, energetic remix, chopping the synths and laying them down over a bed of funky drums. We continue the EP with the high energy of “DCU”. The track has a vintage feeling that takes me back to the days of neon lights at the skating rink. D-Styles slaughters the wheels of steel with his VIP remix of “DCU”, pullin’ out the cuts and showing absolutely no remorse crossfader. We at Lowriders absolutely love this album and hope you find as much enjoyment as we do.
The album is pressed on limited edition hand numbered red vinyl, housed in a lovely silk screened sleeve, and will also be available in digital formats. Don’t sleep! Be sure to cop this from your favorite record shop or online (available from july 19th 2012) at http://lowridersrecordings.bandcamp.com ... philic-ep/
