I think both your questions are down to taste and personal prefarance. All my samples are in a sample folder called "Samples 2007-2012" located on my Harddrive,,, once ive loaded a sample into cubase when i load another sample it automatically opens the last location of my sample so its just a case of hitting back to get back to the main sample library.
You can do your drums via audio, this allows you to have abit more freedom with your sounds but is time consuming and you could "not feel the groove", the alternative is to use Groove agent or any other Vst Drum Machine.

Re: The Cubase Q&A Thread
Got an odd problem.. When i export my project (cubase with reason rewired) the reason parts dont fit anymore, even when i export only the reason stuff its about 1/4th behind the rest, yet when i play it normally its fine.
anyone got any ideas on whats going on? (it was fine yesterday and i dont think ive done anything to change the settings)
edit: Temp fix by starting the export on bar 2

Re: The Cubase Q&A Thread
I'm using Cubase 5, and it works pretty well for me. However I plan to go up to 12 gigs of RAM (currently have 4) and I don't know if Cubase 5 will be able to use it? It seems to be a 32bit application, but at the same time I have to hope that the dozens of plugins I have running at any given time might be pulling from more RAM?
