He still plays that? The Tornado wrote:Seeing Skream on a Friday night at Smart Bar, absolutely rammo, super sweaty, and him dropping his 'In From The Kill' remix for one of the first times ever, from the edge... went off, regardless of what you might think of the tune now.

Re: Happiest moment in dubstep?
First time I heard midnight request line. Second probably the first time I heard Skeng by The Bug. Those tunes converted me.
Re: Happiest moment in dubstep?
Far too many to count.
Some highlights:
- First time I ever played out, straight after Sully (papping myself)
- Hearing "Misty Winter", the tune which kicked off my digging into the music
- Realising that the person who had outbid me on ebay for a copy of 'Alicia' was my girlfriend buying it for my birthday.
- Meeting a whole group of cool people

mine would be seeing distance for the first time at a new years festival here in new zealand a few years back. standing in the mud and torrential rain hearing tunes like V and radical on a system for the first time. i've never forgotten that
also any time new vinyl arrives at the door!

2nd system and discovering the "deeper" sound.

Still a sick tune, basically the reason I spin vinyls by the likes of Loefah and Vivek now, thank you mr Skream!

I was well chuffed for J:Kenzo when he got on Tempa (no homo). Had so many big unreleased tunes by that point, it would've been criminal if they went unnoticed.
Remember how nuts everyone went when Return II Space was announced as well... happy days!
A funny memory as well, I was Caspa & Rusko in early 2008 in Sheffield. There was an earthquake that night (seriously), but no-one there knew until they got outside and heard it on the news, cos the bass masked it!

Re: Happiest moment in dubstep?
too many to count really, every DubWar used to be a special night. but one i remember in particular was Kode9 playing an all Burial set at 3am at the end of a BrainFeeder night that also featured Flying Lotus and Martyn
oh also the first few times Joe Nice played Martyns Broken heart remix at DubWar. that tune used to just literally melt everyone's private parts

Catching a 100% vinyl 2004-2006 set before Kryptic Minds played in Melbourne earlier this year. Heard Request Line, Rottan, I (Remix), Officer, Temptation, Rufage, Goat Stare, System, Earth Run A Red, Blue Notez, Anti-War Dub, Untitled (Babylon) and a bunch of other classics all in the same set. Absolutely floored me. Being in the front row for Badman VIP a couple hours later has to be up there as well.
