Watched this last night. Not the best idea in an empty flat with a storm outside.
Columbian film called 'The Squad'. Scared the shit out of me last night.
Getting on this over the weekend, nice one

Some I like: In This World, Little Miss Sunshine, Natural Born Killers, Badlands, Paul, Cannonball Run, Almost Famous, My Own Private Idaho, National Lampoon's Vacation series (first one is best), Paris Texas, From Dusk Til Dawn (kinda), Detroit Rock City (kinda), On The Road (Jack Kerouac).AxeD wrote:Settling for The Royal Tenenbaums, gave up on looking for a good road movie.. Was a pretty mad movie, ofcourse you can pick it apart and say "well that wouldnt happen or this wouldnt happen" but it is amazing to watch.
Also pretty hilarious how badly skewed it looks when everyone doing shots of tequila and shit and they look fine but as soon as the drugs come out people look like they have been on a 4 day bender all sunken eyes and pale as fuck

Paris Texas looks interesting, I'll give it a go sometime. Seen Easy Rider of course

I figured you'd seen Easy Rider yeah. Also was going to mention the Road Warrior etc haha.
The Chase is actually not bad.
Speaking of Salles, The Motorcycle Diaries is another road type movie.

It's very new, still at film fests I think. It's being released in various markets right now though. Think there's only been a French release so far. Pretty big cast, Coppola and Walter Salles involved so it's a pretty big project, shouldn't be too obscure.Praya wrote:There's a movie version of 'on the road!?'wormcode wrote:, On The Road (Jack Kerouac).![]()

Regeneration - documentary about 5 Djs collaborating with various musicians to create a new genre of sound - responsible for the atrocious skrillex and the doors tune, but the rest of it was really interesting.
really enjoyed what pretty lights produced as well as Mark Ronson

Check out Bully from Larry Clark as well. Similar film based on true events.Reverb wrote:

I can't believe people are that stupid to do such things for basically no reason.

I watched Jeff, Who Lives At Home. Fucking melodrama, depressed me. The Jeff character really struck a chord with me, realised I need to sort my life out.
