VIRUS SYNDICATE BIO:

Virus Syndicate are a four piece Dubstep and Grime collective hailing from Manchester,
UK. With a cult fan base that has grown expontially from the council estates and tower
blocks of inner-city Manchester to the plush golden Coast of California, Virus certainly
earn their title as the “global ambassadors of Dubstep Music”.
Nika D, Goldfinger, JSD and MRK1 began their careers on the infamous Sidewinder Tape
Packs and on the airwaves of London’s premier pirate radio station Rinse FM in 2005. The
hype surrounding Virus Syndicate secured them a two album deal with the internationally
acclaimed Planet Mu Records. Virus went on to release 'The Work Related Illness' in 2006
and 'Sick Pay' in 2008, both of which received critical acclaim from the likes of The
Guardian, NME, The Daily Telegraph and Hip Hop Connection thus creating the demand for
Virus Syndicate. Virus Syndicate went on to perform at all major European festivals such as Glastonbury
(UK), Sonar (Barcelona) and Roskilde (Denmark) and have supported the likes of Snoop
Dogg, The Game, Kanye West, De La Soul, Cyprus Hill and Dizzee Rascal. Further Virus
Syndicate have taken their unique sound to some of the world’s most famous venues such as
Fabric, Maida Vale, Ministry of Sound and the Roxy Theatre in Hollywood (LA).
2010 saw Virus Syndicate independently release 'The Breakout Trilogy', which received
acclaim right across the spectrum from DJ Mag and Mix Mag to ATM to Blues & Soul and Q
Magazine. Later that year Virus Syndicate embarked on their first U.S Tour on the back of
their Dubstep smasher 'Talk to Frank' getting picked up by Snoop Dogg's Cashmere Agency.
'Talk to Frank' was subsequently released on the LA Dubstep Mixtape alongside US Rap
stars EVE, Xzibit and Snoop Dogg himself. The 'Talk to Frank' tour took the boys to Miami,
Detroit, LA and Vegas. Since then Virus Syndicate have gone on to secure regular tours in
the States, supporting Dubstep legends Nero across the East Coast in December 2010 before
leading into their own West Coast winter tour in January 2011. Later that year they toured
everywhere between Atlanta to LA on their US Summer tour, further expanding their already
strong American fan base.
Domestically Virus Syndicate have always been a mainstay within the music scene and are
been championed on the radio by the likes of Tim Westwood, Zane Lowe, MistaJam, Mary
Anne Hobbs and Jo Wiley. They have made the Top Ten on MTV Base’s Chart show and
have been playlisted on a number of occasions by BBC 1Xtra and numerous regional stations
also.
2012 sees Virus Syndicate set to take things further, with the launch of their own label,
Midication (via Global Dubstep Media Goliaths, AEI) and a series of high profile
collaborations and remixes to boot. Add this to a forthcoming EP and global tour and you can
see that this year the sonic virus is set to spread in ways that has never been seen before.

NEUROPUNK BIO:

Under his many guises (Neuropunk / K.O.S. / Go-Incognito / ¡HeyZeus!), Solomon Baldeo aka Neuropunk exudes the true renaissance man, tackling as many facets of the nightlife scene and art as humanly possible. DJ/Producer/Promoter/Designer/Illustrator/Writer…the list goes on for the many activities for his daily grind and he holds a deep passion for each one.

Although the harder, darker side of Drum & Bass is the big gun in his arsenal. Neuropunk has a passion for all sounds Drum & Bass, from liquid to jump-up to ragga. His musical taste is a product of his upbringing. From a very young age, Neuropunk had been exposed to Hip Hop, Soul, Jazz, Reggae/Dancehall and DJ culture from his elder brother, DJ Phers One (DP Sound). As he grew, he also found a love for Punk Rock and Electronic. His love for Drum & Bass began in 1999, at first being exposed to Roni Size and Adam F music videos on cable television and snippets of mixtapes from high school friends, then to a full on passion for the music after his first rave at Nocturnal Wonderland. Soon after he approached the turntables and it wasn’t too long after seeing MCMC live in 2000 that he picked up the microphone.

Behind the scenes, Neuropunk linked up with Grapevinez in early 2005 and since then, has been deeply involved in some of the largest and most memorable Drum & Bass parties in Los Angeles, most notably, Champion Soundz and History (America’s Largest Drum & Bass event). Currently, h helps run LA’s no.1 Drum & Bass monthly, Timeless, along with fellow crewmate Dip Vertigo. His biggest project to date is his vision behind LA Beatdown, a future dub movement bringing the sounds and culture of the big-bass underground to new heights with it's home base located at the legendary Music Box Theater in Hollywood.

With his music, Neuropunk currently holds a DJ residency at Timeless, BDC Radio and LA Beatdown. He also has a steady booking schedule for many events in Los Angeles throughout the year. He is continuously working on many various mixes to release for podcasts and promotional CDs and is in the studio working on tracks.

DIP VERTIGO BIO:

Dip Vertigo (Jeremy Matthew Eichberg) a.k.a. Dip, discovered a new talent in 2003. Having studied many instruments throughout his life, such as drums, piano, clarinet, sax and receiving a bachelor degree of music in vocal performance, Dip turned his musical interest to the turn tables. With his eclectic mind he began spinning many different genres of electronic music, his main focus being drum n bass. Known for his quick symmetrical style of mixing, on three decks, and high energy track selection, the world has also become used to him picking up the mic from time to time. For the past seven years he has been spinning, mcin’, singing, and producing drum n bass. He has put out several solo dnb mixes including “King Me,” “Checkmate” and his recent masterpiece “Second Reality,” all receiving worldwide recognition. He has also put out a dubstep mix “Another Dimension” with more on the way and two electro house mixes, “The Tits” and “Get Dipped Vol. 1” Dip was also the dj for Maximum Moves, a group comprised of himself and lyricist, MC J-Tec. Maximum Moves put out several mixes before disbanding in 2010.

Not only is Dip a known artist, he is also very well known as an avid promoter in Los Angeles. As a founder of LA BEATDOWN, with Idan Schulman and his partner in crime, Solomon Baldeo aka Neuropunk, this unique bass heavy event has quickly become one of the leading dubstep/dnb events in the country. Now in its second year, LA Beatdown continues to bring the biggest talent in the world month in and month out at the legendary Music Box in Hollywood California showing no signs of slowing down. Dip and Solomon are also responsible for forming the Bass Dynasty Crew or BDC which presents the monthly dnb event TIMELESS, at Blue Moon Nights in North Hollywood. Dips promotion doesn’t stop there though…for the past seven years he has promoted himself every week with his internet radio show “Electrical Impulse,” on http://www.dnbradio.com, reaching more then five hundred listeners every Monday morning from 11-1pm (pst).

It’s now 2011 and Dip has turned his focus to production. His first official release “I’m Just Fine,” came out in July of 2010 on Subsonik Sound Recording with drum n bass heavy weight producer Terravita, and his newest bass project “Dirty It Up” with production partner Dknow (MC Dino) has taken off, with dubstep and drum n bass releases coming in early 2012. Dip is also working on collaborations with several producers both on the production side and vocal side. As a dj, 2011 has been a huge year for Dip. He has shared the bill with Andy C, Nero, Feed Me, John B, Computer Club, Mampi Swift, Messinian, Optiv (C4C), and Darren P.

Dip Vertigo’s first love will always be drum n bass, but he has a new found enjoyment for dubstep and electro and he looks to further his djing and production horizon in the electronic music industry. His passion is performing….it is something he was born to do and it shows in his stage presence. Whether singing opera, performing in choirs or rocking dnb, dubstep or electro house stages worldwide, one thing is certain….Dip Vertigo is an entertainer!!!
