Last night was incredible, thanks to alpha for being a great guide and telling lots of grandpa stories, and of course the "crowd control" at the show

The gentleman with the dreadlocks put on quite a show, so many beautiful friends jumping around like maniacs together. Meeting all of you was a pleasure!

Didn't meet up with any ninjas, but that was the best show I've ever been to. Such a nice and personal venue. Highlights for me were, Rufage into Haunted, that Distance VIP (not sure of the tune), Alicia, and the entire Changes Harmonimix to close. Truly an amazing night. Big up Mala!

Also, Bobs Pillow, Big Bang VIP, and Way Mi Defend VIP, and nearly every tune played were amazing. I was slightly surprised to see Mala reaching for lots of Deep Medi's and DMZ plates (rather than all dubs), Maybe ha packed more vinyl to keep the bag light? Either way, one of the best nights in my life.

the night and the whole meet up was emotional! really glad this could happen, staying with phigs, knell and bruce was fun as hell, and meeting every ninja who came was great, experiencing a set like that together was fire. thatjsound was skanking like a dubstep energized bunny. he just kept going and going and going, as we all did. my voice is gone, my feet are broken. still vibing from it..

Okay, my recollections:

Alphacat: Totally accurately named. We really should coordinate before meeting next time so we can differentiate our looks a bit.

esfandyar: Standup guy, solid. A prince really. He started with a little innocent hand holding with my wife early, ended with a stray hand to breast in the group hug. I'm watching you, bro.

Knell: Fucking knell. First off, Knell is a mad scientist, if you didn't know, you gotta know. Fucking after the show, my lady says to Knell, do you have chocolate on your neck, whereupon knelly discovers a dried up flow of blood from his ear, down his neck. At least, I hope that was your blood, bro. Fucking sound system was really surprisingly heavy.

Phig: Bright eyed doesn't even cover it. Dude has vibes.

Swear to god, what happened to Phigure's friend? Anybody know?

Yoshi's: Really bizarre place. The organization was a mess there, at least I got that book signed, finally. The venue was just plain weird, but seeing all the 60 yo jazz hepcats getting DOWN, and I mean down, to our little scene, shit was awesome. Actually really liked the venue by the end of the night. All the purple, planes of people, dimensions, shit was getting a little Lost Highway at a point.

Oh and yoshi's, the two hotties committing sex acts on the table, let them be. Dude stands up and starts dancing on the table, instantly joint locked that fucker out of there. That is class. You need to have priorities.

Fucking seating arrangements before the show, wtf, nwj's mind was already completely blown, that was just cruel to completely annihilate what little slivers remained.

San Francisco: Fucking pride week was just mad. Our hotel was right on the parade route. This morning was surreal. Never seen so many dudes walking down dense urban streets buck naked shlongedy dongedly swagging out. This evening plus pride just took it over the top.

Such a good time people. Seriously. Thank you all for putting this together.

was so fucking cool to see people from different generations and different places come together for something like this.

whole crew was mega safe. out to knell for taking care of the hotel business and the great company on the long ass drive, esfandyar for freakin flying out from arizona and gracing us with his presence, thatjsound for showing how to truly brock out like no one's business, alphacat for being truer to his name than i could ever imagine (most alpha cat i've ever met), and lastly, nowaysj and the mrs for coming out as well and being cool enough to come kick it with young'uns like us (even though i forgot to mention the old slugabed shoe bet)

it's really cool to be able to put faces to all the names now. an absolute pleasure meeting and spending time with all of you. mala's set was hands down the greatest musical experience of my life thus far, and it was cool as fuck sharing it with ALL of you
